Downstairs: Living room, dining room, kitchen with dishwasher, access to basement
Upstairs: 1 large bedroom with closet, 1 medium bedroom with closet, 1 VERY small bedroom (no closet), hallway closet, bathroom with tub
Basement: Free washer and dryer, lots of open space, unfinished. Incredibly low headroom on stairs, but basement is good.
General impressions: A little small, but fixtures in the house were nice. Steps slant slightly to the right, which was a little disconcerting. Would need a good scrubbing as previous tenants were extremely messy, but would clean up nicely.
Pros: Cheap, fake fireplace, space in the basement for a rec/gaming room, it's a duplex, front and back porch, central AC, close to the best damn Chinese bakery in town
Cons: Fairly small place, kitchen would be very difficult for 3 people to work in, extremely low headroom in stairs to basement.
Final thoughts: It could definitely work, but we'd have no room for office space (have to work in the lab or rooms), and we'd have to like each other a lot- the walls seemed thin. ;-)

Downstairs: Mud closet, sun room for office, living room with fake fireplace, dining room, decent sized kitchen wish dishwasher
Upstairs: 2 large bedrooms and one small bedroom, nice bathroom with tub, hall closets
Basement: Large open space with extra fridge, washer dryer, storage space, enough room to put a couch and TV for gaming, etc.
Pros: Carpet, sunny, multiple floors, cheap. Located right on several major bus lines. Landlord seems nice, if a little spacy. Parking for 1 car in back.
Cons: Lots of stairs "up" to first floor. Check street view to see what I mean.
General impressions: Would work nicely and the location is very convenient. It might get a little crowded if we wanted to have massive parties. I think the person with the smaller room should pay less in rent (350/350/300) split.
Final thoughts: Can we please just sign the lease already?

Apartment layout: Open main room, with divisions for TV/living room, dining room, and office (with room for 3 desks), big kitchen with dishwasher, 3 large bedrooms, 1 half bath (sink and toilet), and 1 full bath (sink, toilet, tub). Shared basement with free laundry
General impressions: Well kept property, a little far away from the main drag. Open layout is very nice, and having the bedrooms far away from the living room would also be nice if you guys wanted to game until 2 or 3 in the morning...
Pros: Laundry, parking, nice place. Neighborhood is quiet.
Cons: A little pricey with utilities, a bit further away from grocery, bus line, etc. Management company (Lobos) has one of the worst reputations in the city, friends with Lobos tell me to stay away.
Note: The pictures in the Craigslist post are not of the apartment, except for the last one of the exterior.
Overall opinion: Yep. Looks good.
